Gyeongsangbuk-do Cultural Heritage Material No. 631 Historic House

Songjeong Historic House is the place where Songjeong Shim Sanggwang used to live. He was the second son of Songso Shim Hotaek, who was the 7th descendant of a millionaire Shim Cheodae who lived in the time of King Yeongjo of Joseon Dynasty.

Where you can relax your mind and 

body in the nature, with pine trees.

In Songjeong Historic House, you can see the typical Korean house Hanok, Ondol room with firewood, large yards, and gardens. The rooms are decorated with traditional Hanji wallpaper, Hanshil bedding and naturally dyed comforters. You can relax your mind and body in the nature with green pine trees with Bokdori(dog), listening to birds chirping.

Songjeong Shim Sanggwang was a great scholar, who had been the head of Dosanseowon Confucian Academy, Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy, and Gosanseowon Confucian Acadamy, also was in charge of the whole school of Cheongsonghyanggyo Confucian School for two times. Still, Songjeong academy conference of Confucian scholars has been held every year.

Also, this place is where Cheolgi Lee Beomseok, who was an independentista, and the first prime minister of Korea used to stay often.
